Strawdog Theatre Announces DISTANCE as their 2016-17 Season Opener
Strawdog Theatre Company has announced its 2016-17 season, the first to be produced away from its longtime home at 3829 N. Broadway. The company, still in negotiations for a permanent home in Evanston, will perform its 29th season at the Factory Theatre in Roger's Park.
The season will open with the world premiere of "Distance" (Aug. 25 - Oct. 1), to be directed by Erica Weiss in her Strawdog debut. In Jerre Dye's new play, a woman battles Alzheimer's and connects a group of strangers all affected by her illness. It's followed by a production of Shakespeare's Cymbeline (January 12–February 23), staged by Rob Kauzlaric. A third production, scheduled to run May 11–June 24, 2017, remains to be announced.
